RetailManager v14
RetailManager v14 is the latest update to AAAPOS RetailManager. It lifts barcodes to 20 characters, product descriptions to 100 characters and long descriptions to 1,000 characters, refreshes dockets, A4 invoices and reports, lets you transfer a purchase order to another supplier, adds percentage-based charges, and moves the MYOB accounting integration to the new MYOB API. See the RetailManager v14 update page for upgrade information.
Start with the RetailManager v14 update page, which explains how to upgrade from an older version while keeping your data. Contact support to confirm your current version, licence and database migration, and back up your data before you start. If you use customised reports or A4 dockets, check them first. AAAPOS also sells upgrades for older versions of MYOB RetailManager.
Performing a backup manually from the file menu in RetailManager
AAAPOS maintains a RetailManager update page with update history and descriptions of selected improvements and fixes. Check that page or contact support to confirm which update applies to your installation.
AAAPOS specifically recommends contacting support before upgrading if you use customised A4 dockets, so the designs can be reviewed and carried across where possible. Do not assume every custom layout will migrate without changes.
No. The Reserve Bank of Australia ended surcharging on eftpos, Mastercard and Visa debit, prepaid and credit card payments from 1 October 2026, and AAAPOS notes this in its v14 update. RetailManager v14 includes percentage-based charges for levies, surcharges and service fees, so switch off any card surcharge you currently apply and confirm your terminal settings with your EFTPOS provider and AAAPOS support.
